Epson printer issues with Windows 11

My Epson 2750 is now printing garbage characters in Windows 11. Turned on my Linux Ubuntu machine and the printer works perfectly fine. Microsoft what have you done to the printer drivers in Windows 11???

Me too on Windows 11 on new Geekcom I7 mini PC with Epson ET-4750 printer. I download scanner driver from Epson website, and it installs an exe file, but no Icon to run the scan program. So I run the installation exe file, and it reports upon completion that everything installed OK, from the exe file, --but it is not!

The printer install file runs OK and prints very well, so I cannot understand why the scanner program Scansmart2 doesnt do the same.

Its installed alright, but where is it? Windows manager says installed OK also, but I can't find the "run" file, nor icons, mainly because I dont know the name of that run file.

I mailed Epson UK, last week, but still no reply. with the runtime file name. I can create the Icon or shortcut for my desktop OK, but first I need that run file name. Epson, if you are reading this, please reply to this forum.

I have also reinstalled Windows 11 several times, and it is completely updated. There are no other users on this system. I am the only top level Administrator, and run it with those credentials as top level administrator ( no subordinates ).

The Epson ET-4750, is quite an expensive All-in-One, and one of more than 30+ Epson inkjet printers I've had over the last 30 years, all which have had clogged printheads eventually, and scapped. It does print very well, but scanner? - nil points as yet.

How do you like this fact? I bought a HP Laserjet 7 over forty years ago, just after Laser Printers came to the UK. I ran my business with that as my only printer for many a year, -AND since bought it has consumed only 2 toner cartridges.

The second cartridge is installed in the printer here in my lounge and still printss very well, without any service at all in last 40 years. Congratulations Hewlett Packard, but there is a drawback- the only input is via old style SCSI connector which is HUGE!

Ahh Epsom / Win 11 You are not alone. My trusty sx218 printer scanner has fallen foul of Windows 11. Prints rubbish even with Epson's latest driver. Today Argos new WiFi printer not Epson. Annoying bit is ..It prints perfectly with our Win 10 laptops.

Still 14 years of service not bad.

I just spent the day setting up my new lap top with Windows 11 and ran into the problem described in these posts. I resolved the issue by removing all of the software installed by the Drivers and Utilities Combo Package Installer. I then rebooted the PC and just installed the Printer Driver v2.71.00. When the screen shows the option for "YES: Network Connection" or "USB Connection" choose "YES: Network Connection". Then selected search options "Connect to the printer with the specified IP address" and plugged in the IP Address being used by my ET-2750 printer. I found that address by printing out the network settings. That is done by using the printer control panel. Under Settings-?Network Settings->Print Status Sheet. On the printout there is a section headed: TCP/IP IPv4 and under that section there is a setting named IP Address that you enter in the aforementioned screen.

A little convoluted but as of this evening it seems to be working. Of course I don't know if/when the IP Address may be modified. Hopefully the address is just set once when initially configuring the printer to the WIFI network. I'm going to make some detailed notes for myself because I'm sure this will all be forgotten the next time this becomes a problem.

Hopefully someone will find this helpful. I've had a long frustrating day.

Same here, my windows 11 wont even print test page and I have reinstalled it three times but no changes; latest drivers, and nothing.
