Epson printer issues with Windows 11

Please note: After my upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 , I started having problems with my Epson 3850 printer.

After trying to reinstall the Epson 3850 with in Windows 11 ; my Lenovo laptop could not find my Epson 3850 printer.

I thought it was a problem with my AT&T Gateway wi Fi modem so I tried to alter permissions to see if that helped.

What was happening was ; the modem saw the printer. The laptop saw the modem and internet connection.

But something in Windows 11 would not allow the printer drivers to install on the Lenovo. When I switched back to

Windows 10 ; The modem saw the printer, The laptop saw and installed the printer and then the printer was completely

functioning with the Lenovo through the wi fi modem. Problem solved by using windows 10. I now am also using a different

Epson / a XP-6100. But I noted that the install function on Windows 11 would time out like it had to much bloat wear installed

that seemed to interfere with the Epson installation time and time out. With Windows 10 the auto install worked fine.

I want to restore back to Windows 10, too, but I have a new laptop with 11. So I think I'll have to purchase 10, and after spending $450 on a new Epson ET, I shouldn't have to buy old software to connect it. Windows 11 has been out long enough for Epson to have figured it out with appropriate drivers. And, before we know it, Windows 10 won't be supported. It's a conundrum!

I have solved the problem you define with a work around:

Download from Epson the "EpsonNet Config" software for your printer. After it finds your printer (printer must be on) Click on your printer to highlight and then open Tools and click restore defaults. I do this just before each time I print, and all is well. Hope this helps.

Same issues!!! Probably the same solution, return the Epson ET4550 and purchase an HP. I LOVE the tank printers, and I really do love my Epson printer, but if it doesn't work every time I hit "Print" then it is not worth any amount of money, and these things are expensive! It's like buying an expensive car that only drives after you walk around it 100 times, patting it on the hood each time, and begging it to start. I've about come to the end of the story with Epson, unfortunately.

I had an Epson ET3750 that printed every time with Windows 10, but I have to admit, it did need head cleaning often, and that's a time-waster, too. But when I got a new laptop with Windows 11 installed, it didn't work, so I upgraded my Epson, thinking a new model had to work. But it doesn't. :(

I had an Epson ET3750 which worked great with Windows 10, then I got a new laptop with Windows 11 already installed and the printer wouldn't work anymore. Like you, I had to jump through hoops each time I wanted to print. I finally called Costco and they approved a return, full refund, even after 2.5 years. Then I bought the Epson ET4550. I thought that since it's a new model, it would work with Windows 11 which had been out for a while. Nope, same issues. Now I don't know what to do. I love my laptop with Windows 11 and I love my printer, but... It's such a time-suck each and every day that I need to print. I've re-installed the printer 5 or 6 times, and it always works afterward. Until the next day. It's like it will connect but then loses the connection. Or I turn off my laptop, with all my work on the screen, hoping I don't lose anything, and restart the laptop, then the printer is sometimes connected. It seems to be a driver and/or connection issue. I'm thinking I'll probably end up returning the Epson and buying an HP tank printer. I'd rather get this problem solved and keep the Epson.
