Using Phone Link to make calls with PC headphones & Mic

I am struggling to get Phone Link on windows 11 to utilise the headset I use for my PC as the speaker and Mic for calls made/received in Phone Link.

All my drivers are up to date, I am using Astro A50s which work for all other aspects of mic/sound (these are wired to base, 2.4ghz wireless, so not bluetooth headset) and a Samsung Galaxy S21.

Sometimes when I receive a call, the phone notes that it is using the PC for bluetooth output, and I can hear the the audio, but the mic doesnt seem to work.

Would love for this to be resolved so I dont need to change headsets everytime I want to go from Zoom call to phone call.

    I agree. I have the same issue. My set-up uses the webcam mic, but Phone Link doesn't recognise it, unlike all other installed apps!

    You would hope that Microsoft would listen to their users and acknowledge that this is a problem preventing the use of their own application. It did work in the previous incarnation of this app, but now it is useless!

    I am having a similar problem myself using 'Logitech ClearChat Comfort/USB Headset H390' on my Android phone B131DL, which is using Android version 11....

    I have connected my phone and laptop using the Windows Phone Link app., but when I get a call on the phone, I cannot find a way to transfer it to my laptop through the headset?? Actually, I can send the call to my headset, but they are unable to hear me talk through the microphone for some reason.

    I am using Windows 11 on my laptop, but think I may need a different app. to answer calls using my laptop and would appreciate helpful instructions Please.

    Samsung link works flawlessly with bluetooth and wired headsets.

    I know this is an older thread, but wanted to say that stating you do not have the same issue is not helpful in the least, although I am happy for you in that!!

    I would like to add to this that I have Android 11 running on my phone, and though there is a workaround of sorts to this problem, apparently it will not work on my specific version of Android, YAY what a shock!!

    This fix works, I was having the same issue...

    I have a USB PC Phone with headset attached to the PC and wanted to use it for my cell calls while working on the PC. For the USB PC Phone mic & audio to behave (during cell calls) I had to go into the Android cell phone Apps under Settings (in the Link to Windows app) and under Permissions add the Microphone (shown below). You would think this would be preconfigured but for privacy reasons the phone's owner must add this.

    Once this was accomplished the USB PC Phone mic worked with the cell phone through the PC link, however I could only control where the output audio came from by changing the default Windows audio out settings (shown below). Just annoying that I can't assign this under the Phone Link app settings in Windows for the preference during calls.

    This was much simpler under the Skype setup, Phone Link should have at a minimum the same telephony configuration.
