Using Phone Link to make calls with PC headphones & Mic

I am struggling to get Phone Link on windows 11 to utilise the headset I use for my PC as the speaker and Mic for calls made/received in Phone Link.

All my drivers are up to date, I am using Astro A50s which work for all other aspects of mic/sound (these are wired to base, 2.4ghz wireless, so not bluetooth headset) and a Samsung Galaxy S21.

Sometimes when I receive a call, the phone notes that it is using the PC for bluetooth output, and I can hear the the audio, but the mic doesnt seem to work.

Would love for this to be resolved so I dont need to change headsets everytime I want to go from Zoom call to phone call.

    When the little call window opens up on your computer does the switch to phone/PC button appear and does it respond if you click it?

    Something else I changed was unrestricting the battery usage for phone link. I think by default it is set to optimised which means it may disconnect when not in use and perhaps by default disconnects when making a call to save battery. Which is fine ordinarily, but I'm able to keep my phone charged so isn't really an issue.

    a similar issue... i have the Galaxy A13 -

    I have allowed Windows 11 to access my phone apps/calls/etc

    I have downloaded windows link and paired the phone, windows 11 sees my phone

    windows 11 allows me to make calls from my pc but redirects it to the audio from the phone, not the pc

    The second i call someone using the windows 11 pc app it closes the app and calls it from my phone instead

    I recently had a similar issue where my headset wouldn't connect for phonecalls where it previously would. The same headset works with my othe laptop so thought I'd troubleshoot the settings and see if anything was different. The only difference I found was device scanning was turned off on my work phone so I turned that on and it started working again. Hope this solution helps others too.

    The real question at this point in time is how to remove the Phone Link app from my laptop.

    The "Uninstall" option in Settings / Apps is grayed out.

    It appears that once MS tricks you in to trying Phone Link, they remove the option to delete the App that simply does not work.

    SO... for the user-community: how can I get this waste of storage off of my windows laptop?

    I agree - it used to work, and after a bit of fiddling you could use a USB connected mic and speakers (or headset) to make calls via the phone. The echo cancellation compared to Teams or Zoom was poor, but it worked.

    Now, when you make a call, the sounds can be heard coming from the handset, and if you choose to listen on the bluetooth device (the paired PC), it appears to try and switch, but then snaps back to the phone,
