The annoying thing is, I used to have no issues using phone link on my PC, with an external boom mic and headphones until recent updates. I was also able to access the apps on my phone through my PC. Reckon they've dropped the ball on this one...
Using Phone Link to make calls with PC headphones & Mic
I am struggling to get Phone Link on windows 11 to utilise the headset I use for my PC as the speaker and Mic for calls made/received in Phone Link.
All my drivers are up to date, I am using Astro A50s which work for all other aspects of mic/sound (these are wired to base, 2.4ghz wireless, so not bluetooth headset) and a Samsung Galaxy S21.
Sometimes when I receive a call, the phone notes that it is using the PC for bluetooth output, and I can hear the the audio, but the mic doesnt seem to work.
Would love for this to be resolved so I dont need to change headsets everytime I want to go from Zoom call to phone call.
Thanks,
Daniel

2023-01-26T09:50:31+00:00 I have mic issues too.
I noticed if I start a call and then I go to my audio recording device, I switch to another mic and then back again to my default mic, it magically starts to work. It seems to me a software issue. Hope they resolve soon!

2022-12-28T15:50:00+00:00 Hey Greg,
So, I have done sound diagnostics on my Logitech USB headset. Both input and output sounds are working with my computer. The problem seems to lay in the Phone Link app itself. It's a 50/50 chance that my call audio will be directed through my headset. And after that once I can hear them through my headset a 50/50 chance of whether or not the person I'm calling would even be able to hear me. By no means am I computer Savvy but through process of elimination, it seems like the fault is with the app not having a specified function to allow for someone to use a headset with the app. As a byproduct, there is no functionality to troubleshoot the issue and tell the app you wish to use the headset. hopefully this is a feature that we can see soon.
Thanks for taking the time to read!

2022-11-14T09:43:27+00:00 I'm having the same issue too while using Arctis 1 Wireless headphone (connected to the PC via 2.4GHz, not Bluetooth). I can hear the caller/receiver voice through my headset clearly, but they are not able to hear my voice. It was working fine previously while using Your Phone app (predecessor to Phone Link).
Both the headphone and the attached microphone are working fine in games, zoom, or google meet, so the problem must be with the Phone Link app.
