Using Phone Link to make calls with PC headphones & Mic

I am struggling to get Phone Link on windows 11 to utilise the headset I use for my PC as the speaker and Mic for calls made/received in Phone Link.

All my drivers are up to date, I am using Astro A50s which work for all other aspects of mic/sound (these are wired to base, 2.4ghz wireless, so not bluetooth headset) and a Samsung Galaxy S21.

Sometimes when I receive a call, the phone notes that it is using the PC for bluetooth output, and I can hear the the audio, but the mic doesnt seem to work.

Would love for this to be resolved so I dont need to change headsets everytime I want to go from Zoom call to phone call.

    Mic permission is already enabled. Phone Link works just fine using the "default" mic and speaker devices on my PC, but I want it to use specific devices. There doesn't appear to be any way to select the preferred devices via Phone Link.

    I know this sounds weird but, I changed permissions on my phone, (not pc) to allow phone link to access my mic. Then made a phone call, and the head phones and mic worked. Just to clarify my head phones are plugged in to the computer through USB

    I've tried several times over the past year or two to get Phone Link to use a preferred audio device, but it just will not work. It only seems to use the default device on the machine. I have a default audio device (that it selects) and a default communications device (that I use with other telephony and video applications), but Phone Link does not offer the option to select a preferred audio device. I tried changing the preferred device via the audio mixer and the settings will not change. If I re-open the audio mixer, the settings are back to what they were.

    I submitted feedback, but that was long ago. I just don't think this has gotten much attention. I guess most people just use the default audio device. I would encourage people to use the feedback option to request that Phone Link allow users to select which audio device to use.

    Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, having followed your advice, the issue remains. I believe the problem lies within the Phone Link app as Your Phone handled calls using the same setup seamlessly.

    I am getting two way audio using Phone Link.

    I removed my Plantronics headset from my computer, went into Settings, System, Sound and added it back under Input. That automatically added it as the Output.

    On my Samsung Note under Bluetooth I am connected to my Yogi laptop for Calls and I am connected to my headset for Calls. My phone will not allow a Audio output to my Yogi laptop.

    When a call comes in I answer it on my headset, the Phone Link app pops the call up, and I can talk and hear.
