Using Phone Link to make calls with PC headphones & Mic

I am struggling to get Phone Link on windows 11 to utilise the headset I use for my PC as the speaker and Mic for calls made/received in Phone Link.

All my drivers are up to date, I am using Astro A50s which work for all other aspects of mic/sound (these are wired to base, 2.4ghz wireless, so not bluetooth headset) and a Samsung Galaxy S21.

Sometimes when I receive a call, the phone notes that it is using the PC for bluetooth output, and I can hear the the audio, but the mic doesnt seem to work.

Would love for this to be resolved so I dont need to change headsets everytime I want to go from Zoom call to phone call.

    Well after looking at the Microsoft phone link troubleshooting page I found this gem.

    Why can't I use my Bluetooth headphones on my PC to get calls from the Phone Link app?

    The Phone Link app does not currently support relaying a phone call from your Android device to a headset over Bluetooth.

    I would like to clarify that the bluetooth connection for Apple phones are not supported either. It was when I first downloaded the app but then an update happened and now my headset doesn't work. My phone is connecting with options to use headset, computer or speaker, but my Sony headset does not work.

    LOL...It is funny how the last letter of "its" and the following word "hit" was censored! The space in between must have been omitted....LOL

    I was using Phone Link with iPhone 8, I upgraded to iPhone 14 and my Phone Link problems went away.

    Half this thread is people with bluetooth and half is people using plug in headsets. As far as I can tell - neither works!
