Windows activation after bios update

After updating the bios, im unable to activate windows 11, which was already activated. You're telling me I can't update the bios without windows freaking out. I paid for this product and now the only thing the troubleshooter is telling me to do is to just buy another product key. How the hell do I go about fixing this since windows services is just an utter joke? I'm constantly having to deal with fixing **** issues with windows 11. This product is a big joke. The "get help" app does nothing but direct me to exactly what their windows activation page is on the website.

Contacting support did nothing. They told me it's not their issue. Quality service M$

    This worked perfectly, I just had the same issue on a Z790 chipset board from gigabyte after bios update.

    Well! Should we do this fix if we do not have the problem a second time? I used up my only fake hardware change so should I do this?

    My AMD Ryzen motherboard may have been a victim. It is the only thing that I can think of to cause a "hardware change" when I didn't change any hardware. And MS may have figured out a way to cover up the failure without fixing the problem.

    I have a dual boot system with two Win10 installations on the same digital license. I have a work installation that I use regularly and a gaming installation which I haven't used much lately. I upgraded the BIOS on my Asus B550 a couple of months ago. I don't recall any problems after the upgrade on my work installation. If my activation was changed, it must have reactivated on its own. But when I booted my gaming installation this past week, I noticed the Not Activated watermark in the corner of my screen. Huh? How could it lose activation? Poking around in the Activation Settings page, it said my hardware changed. That is impossible! My work installation did not notice any hardware change. How could my gaming installation on the same hardware notice a hardware change?

    So I tried the tools that MS gives you. The Troubleshooter couldn't do anything. But if I try "I changed hardware on this device recently" and login with my MS Account, my PC is found in the MS database but I get the message "We can’t activate your copy of Windows as the digital license for this device has already been used to reactivate Windows." Reactivate Windows?? (<- This is what makes me think they did a secret reactivation on my work installation.) And unless I was dual booting, I would never have known the BIOS update caused an activation problem.

    So what happens on the next BIOS update? I don't get to reactivate? For my gaming installation, I may try some of the commands earlier in this thread (I've only gone through half of them). Or just running my gaming installation unactivated. All my customizations are already in place. Hope I won't need any more.

    Worked for me after bios update. Cant believe the community has to fix microsofts own issues.
