After updating the bios, im unable to activate windows 11, which was already activated. You're telling me I can't update the bios without windows freaking out. I paid for this product and now the only thing the troubleshooter is telling me to do is to just buy another product key. How the hell do I go about fixing this since windows services is just an utter joke? I'm constantly having to deal with fixing **** issues with windows 11. This product is a big joke. The "get help" app does nothing but direct me to exactly what their windows activation page is on the website.
Contacting support did nothing. They told me it's not their issue. Quality service M$

Just been going through this thread, had same problem with ASUS ROG Strix X570-e Gaming, update from BIOS 4608 to 5003.
MS told me to buy a new license.
Was about to nuke my system and go Linux Mint when saw the script fix.
As paying customers, we should not be having to do this.

I'm having the exact same issue on an MSI PRO Z690-A WIFI. Had a Windows 11 installation upgraded from 10, upgraded from 8. Everything was working just fine, Windows was fully activated... until I updated the BIOS. Now I'm getting the same activation error. When I go to "I changed hardware recently" I can select my desktop with the correct motherboard shown, but when I click "Activate" it says "we can't activate your copy of Windows as the digital license for this device has already been used to reactivate Windows" - which is true. I used it 2 days ago when I did a fresh install of Windows 11 upgrading from Windows 10. This is the same motherboard though, not a new system!
So far Support has told me that it might work to reinstall Windows 8(!), reactivate using the original product key from when I bought the computer, and then upgrade to Windows 11 from there. No, thank you - not after I just spent days getting Windows 11 properly set up.
Absolutely ridiculous....
yeah, it's like after each bios update they record your license and match it to the BIOS of all things.
So you end up with multiple copies for the same computer.
If you delete the wrong one it messes with the Activation it seems.
Strange scenario completely created by Microsoft that really does not track your existing
computer at all, just the BIOS.
