After updating the bios, im unable to activate windows 11, which was already activated. You're telling me I can't update the bios without windows freaking out. I paid for this product and now the only thing the troubleshooter is telling me to do is to just buy another product key. How the hell do I go about fixing this since windows services is just an utter joke? I'm constantly having to deal with fixing **** issues with windows 11. This product is a big joke. The "get help" app does nothing but direct me to exactly what their windows activation page is on the website.

Contacting support did nothing. They told me it's not their issue. Quality service M$

Hello, I had to flash my bios due to PC problems. Then I got the message that Windows is not activated. I called Microsoft and told them that my PC was correctly registered in my Microsoft account, but with Windows 10 pro activation. The PC was purchased with Windows 10 pro. The update to Windows 11 came later. The Microsoft technician told me to completely reinstall the PC with Windows 10 using the original Windows 10 serial number or to buy a Windows 11 serial number in the store.

I wonder if this has anything to do with:

Windows Ends Installation Path for Free Windows 7/8 Upgrade

Even though it was targeting Windows 7 and 8, I could easily see a coding error that is really screwing with recently updated BIOSs and Windows 10/11 Activation.

That's a terrible answer; however, I do not know the upgrade path from Windows 10 Pro to Windows 11 Pro. Is that free? If so, reinstalling Windows 11 Pro "should" be assigned to your Microsoft account. Once you login with your account, the Digital License kicks in. (Yeah, all that is "supposed" to happen)

I went from OEM Windows 11 Home, purchased $99.00 Pro, from Microsoft on 21AUG2023. Everything went smoothly until the day I updated the BIOS 03OCT2023.
