Windows activation after bios update

I know this may be late, but I need to share. Last 2 days I've spent a total of 2-3 hours of 2 separate "microsoft support techs" tell me are you sure you have a windows key? Sure you didn't buy 3rd party? Where's the key now? Last one got me. I didn't plan on keeping up with it. Because you guys say it's hardware based and activated on our (ms) servers. We'll, where's my key? They run troubleshooter, bla bla. Oh. Wait a few hours and try again, our activation servers are down at the moment. BS. So I tell them this is not right. There is some kind of error in a configuration, or a comm problem between communications. And not the activation servers, either. Google them and they are up and fine. So, I said what can we do. They told me to go buy a real version of windows. And not to buy online , as they tell me, with a getting uglier attitude go to ms store. Then they said we can run a script for original key and if nothing shows you (me) never had one. He'll, yea! Let's go. Guess what. Nothing came back. They must have felt real good. Thought they had me on mute I guess. The fools were laughing and making fun of me, something about IT. Might have been funny, but couldn't understand what they were saying. Hung up. Almost the exact same thing. Sorry folks, I'm venting on this one and wiping it all over MS Support. Go back to my ms account-devices. My pc and laptop are gone. Really? Really wanting me to buy more $200-300 license? Thanks, I feel better. Here's the fix, all. Go to APPs that have LOCATION PERMISSION. Make sure, WINDOWS WEB EXPERIENCE HOST AND PACK ARE SET TO ON. Soon as I checked those two on, boom. Activated. For the "widgets" at ms support ( had pleasant meetings with other ms support members) that I spoke with. My IT is better than your IT! And Microsoft, shame on you. Companies all over the world use your software. Stop trying to go into the pockets of the rest of us to pay for you big ideas and mistakes. Do something good for MS. Buy more nvidia GPUs and train your team!

Not the issue. I have same problem only it took key fine but lost pin and won't send email verify code. It took forever for bitlocker to send verify code just to get key. Now I can't get verify to reset pin.

The issue isn't so much with software bugs, but rather with licensing policies and how licensing servers recognize your device after a BIOS upgrade. There's also a matter concerning vendors and their handling of the TPM nonsense, which again reflects on Microsoft.
