Windows activation after bios update

After updating the bios, im unable to activate windows 11, which was already activated. You're telling me I can't update the bios without windows freaking out. I paid for this product and now the only thing the troubleshooter is telling me to do is to just buy another product key. How the hell do I go about fixing this since windows services is just an utter joke? I'm constantly having to deal with fixing **** issues with windows 11. This product is a big joke. The "get help" app does nothing but direct me to exactly what their windows activation page is on the website.

Contacting support did nothing. They told me it's not their issue. Quality service M$

    Yay success.

    The product key from the registry was refused but the Win10 key from the DVD was accepted.

    BIOS updates are now a thing of the past.

    Thanks for the update.

    I've finished my BIOS updating and still have the activation problem.

    I've found the product key in the registry and found my original Windows 10 install disc with its product key.

    I'm wary of trying the Win 10 key in case I get the 'used on another PC message.

    I've just had a look on the Gigabyte forums and I can't see any mention of this problem.

    I don't think so. This seems to be an on going problem from last year from my research. I would probably update to the latest bios and then contact MS about the activation issue.

    FYI my MS account still shows 2 devices but windows itself isn't complaining about re-activation. The only issue I've had is that my MS Office has stopped working now and can't be **** to contact MS given my recent experience of the explanation why I have two devices appearing on my account for the same windows install 😅

    Just happened to me with a BIOS update to a Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Elite. My devices show two instances of the same machine. When I try 'hardware change' option it says the key has already been used in an activation (I presume this is the initial activation before the BIOS update)

    Any known fixes ? I still haven't got to the latest (F23a) BIOS

    Yep, it is exactly the issue and you will not be able to use the "reactivate option for hardware change"... welcome in the infinite loop... (maybe, try to find your product key, it can maybe help)... but at the end, we cannot trust the "digital license" system at all.
