After updating the bios, im unable to activate windows 11, which was already activated. You're telling me I can't update the bios without windows freaking out. I paid for this product and now the only thing the troubleshooter is telling me to do is to just buy another product key. How the hell do I go about fixing this since windows services is just an utter joke? I'm constantly having to deal with fixing **** issues with windows 11. This product is a big joke. The "get help" app does nothing but direct me to exactly what their windows activation page is on the website.

Contacting support did nothing. They told me it's not their issue. Quality service M$

    Same issue here.

    Exact sequence of events happen.

MSI Z690 EDGE WIFI DDR4 MOBO.

After bios update using the MSI center. Initially asks me to update my pin, then I come to find out windows 11 activation is lost. I tried entering the existing key, and it didn't work. I ended up purchasing another key online.

This is incredible having to spend money for repurchase windows.

I have the same issue with the same motherboard. Was there a solution to your problem?

    Thank you for your response?

It is MS problem, that's undeniable but getting their attention and to act on the issue we all are facing is mission impossible .

I believe it's definitely a Microsoft problem as well. I had the same problem with my Gigabyte Z590 Arous Elite. Had to reenter my original Windows Pro Key and reactivate. Your Microsoft account has the model and serial number of your computer once you first activate a Windows OS so there is no reason why we should have to reenter a product key just because of a Bios update.

    good luck with that.

For over a month I tried to contact MS support, opening at least 4 tickets. All of them were close after a while, saying the problem was solved. Ridicolous, to say the least.

I just solved myself using the same unofficial tool used by some of their own staff to unlock this issue and finally solve it. I bought a full price, retail license but after this experience I'll never do it again, IF I will ever buy some other license will be through some website selling cheap keys.
