After updating the bios, im unable to activate windows 11, which was already activated. You're telling me I can't update the bios without windows freaking out. I paid for this product and now the only thing the troubleshooter is telling me to do is to just buy another product key. How the hell do I go about fixing this since windows services is just an utter joke? I'm constantly having to deal with fixing **** issues with windows 11. This product is a big joke. The "get help" app does nothing but direct me to exactly what their windows activation page is on the website.
Contacting support did nothing. They told me it's not their issue. Quality service M$

I have still my old laptop functioning, so I'll give it a try and use this tools on that machine, with some luck there is some trace of the activation key yet.
One thing we need to do when (if) MS support solve this problem is to recover that activation key and save it on three different location to be safe. I mean, if this is the path we have to walk through every time a bios update is available, this is something to consider... just in case
Maybe could work on already installed windows but in my case, I ran a full clean installation by formatting my M.2SSD so no use of this kind of tools in my case unfortunately. Even AIDA 64 Extreme that I have licensed as well will show the Win KEY .

a tool that maybe handy could be Belarc Advisor. You can find keys that in your registry (hopefully) Even if it is not activated. Maybe worth a shot.
Disclaimer, I don't work for Belarc. I have used this for personal use when reloading my own PC's Just search it, is to find and download to pull put keys and other interesting stuff. Save a pdf copy and go through the doc.

When I had this problem I setup Windows with a local account and an OEM license. I had not setup a Microsoft account at all. Could using a local account as opposed to a Microsoft account be part of the issue? The Windows 11 installer did make it very difficult to use a local account this time around.
What did everyone else use? Did you use a local account or Microsoft account and what type of license when you encountered this issue?
