I have no experience with servers, sorry. If you think it will be tough to do & perilous, make a system image backup first. Make one each time you have made big changes to preserve what has gone before. Good luck, & keep us informed.

when I go to Network i do not see any other computers.

Sharing has been widely broken in WIndows 10 since they removed automated HomeGroup, which many think is to push us to use OneDrive, which I'll discuss a bit later.

Check over these steps for how to set up simple file sharing in WIndows 10:

I haven't done networks either. I was about to post this as a starting point...

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/setting-up-a-wireless-network-in-windows-97914e31-3aa4-406d-cef6-f1629e2c3721

Setting up a wireless network in Windows But it looks like Greg has stepped in with the full enchilada. Like he says, there have been threads here suggesting deficiencies in network stability. That is, sometimes a computer may drop out of the network & need to be reconnected. But you should be able to get something going. Good luck.

Nice to hear from you Greg.

As you Understand this is not my first rodeo with Microsoft, I am using this since the 70's.

when you had to know how to make the proper printer cable connections to have your dot-matrix printer work.

That is why I don't like changing anything as they say don't touched if it's not broken, unfortunately this time I did not have any choice.

Any way let me give a go to your suggestions and let you know.

    It's good to be young.

in my age I think this will be my last go around with my friend Microsoft.

    thank you again.
