Asus TUF Gaming F15 wifi driver suddenly stops working (MediaTek Wi-Fi 6 MT7921 Wireless LAN Card)

After I install the latest Windows 11 update, my laptop now loses connection and goes missing in the settings.

I tried uninstalling and reinstall the driver from the Asus support website and the issue still occurs. Is this a common occurrence for this laptop or is it just me?

Hope there is a solution before I send it to the repair shop as a last resort. I'm currently on USB Tethering using my old phone just to connect for the time being.

I have the exact issue now. My network card is Intel AX201.

I have no idea what's wrong with my laptop and it started behaving weird since 2 days --- there were some windows updates.

Every time one of the following actions gets my wifi working:

• removing Armory Crate
• Reinstalling wifi drivers and then performing a network reset >>> then rebooting the laptop
• setting power management to Off in power options

And the wifi can go off anytime. So it doesn't make any sense?!

Does anybody have any working fixes? Do we need to install Windows 10?

I have the same problem. At first I thought it was the hardware so I brought it to the store and changed a new one. But after 1 or 2 weeks, same problem came again. I searched on the internet and found this post. No lucky with any of below method. Then I read somewhere that said the problem might come from some power settings (sound weird) but I realize my laptop has windows power setting and some **** asus armoury crate power setting. I deleted the asus armoury crate and bingo, wifi came back, no wifi driver need to be installed, no windows update, no nothing. Just kick the fking ASUS ARMOURY CRATE out of your laptop... problem solved.

I had this problem on my Asus G15 2021 model with Mediatek Wifi card. I tried basically everything everyone has mentioned, with nothing fixing the issue.

However, I was able to run Linux Mint from a live USB and networking ran flawlessly (YAY LINUX!) In fact, this step may have been important in fixing something with the wifi card itself, as when I returned to Windows 10, the driver reported it was functioning correctly, but unfortunately Windows would not show me any networks to connect to, so I still had the problem of not being able to connect to a wifi network.

Eventually I found the problem was that an important Windows service used to enable network detection had been disabled for some reason, so I needed to re-enable it.

1. From the start menu, open Services (just type "Services" and it should show up)
2. Find "WLAN Autoconfig" in the list of services and right click on "Start" if it is not running.
3. You might notice that it isn't set to start automatically, so right click again and select "Properties" and then set "Startup Type" to "Automatic"
4. You should now see available wifi networks. You can also show networks using the command "netsh wlan show networks" at windows command prompt to verify if you have issues.

I still don't know what caused the issue in the first place, but the only update that happened around the time the problem began to occur was KB2267602, which appears to have been a virus definition, so I'm not sure why it would be related, however, it was the only update to the system on the day the problem began occuring.

I have just updated to the latest version and the network issue seems to be resolved for now. Gonna let my laptop run for an hour or two to make sure that it was fixed.

UPDATE : Its been almost 2 hours and I even restart the laptop when it reached the 1 hour mark just to be sure and I can say that it seems to be stable

Hi everyone, when I booted up Ubuntu linux and connected my Wifi to my router it started to work again in Windows 10 without any other steps. So, I guess this was incompatibility between windows update and Wifi driver.

What I did:

1. Reverted latest windows update.
2. Updated all drivers for my TUF F15 via MyASUS.
3. Updated windows 10 (All updates until 21 June 2022
4. My Wifi was NOT working in Windows 10
5. Started Live Ubuntu linux.
6. Wifi was working as expected
7. Connected wifi to my router
8. Boot Windows 10 again and Wifi started to work in Windows as expected.
