Just popping in here to add to the list of people with issues though mine is slightly different...
I'm not really getting any crashes, or at least not many. I've had 2 different blue screens but they can be explained away by 1. Shortly after making some significant changes in bios - Bluescreen only happens once and then system comes back and seems fine
- A memory timing issue I had with a specific bios version (works fine when I rolled the bios version back).
However every single day reliability monitor shows GameInput Host stopped working in the critical area, often multiple times a day if my PC has been restarted. However it does not cause any noticeable issues at all. I don't get a BSOD and I can load into the game and play it. So I guess I should consider myself lucky that its just my reliability score that is essentially pinned at the bottom.
Searching the internet it seems this has been an issue for a LONG time and no sign Microsoft will do anything about it. I also get many reconfigure messages most of which it says are successful. It's not apparent if these reconfigures are causing GameInput host to crash or if its something else. I need to monitor the time of these events a little more closely to see if I can determine when they happen e.g. when a game is first loaded, when windows first loads, or when windows first shuts down for example.
