piece of **** windows crashing Game Input reconfigure

My findings more or less point to individual settings anywhere being overwritten by any major update. Additionally the smaller app specific updates, like gameinput/services/etc don't seem to be considered "windows updates" in terms of awake hours or specified update times, so these are updated whenever they want, leading to forced reboots during the day (I would love to not have my work interrupted every day between noon and 4pm).

Definitely not optimal and definitely annoying.

My settings for how and when my windows updates are not holding. It all started around the same time that I noticed that regardless

of me setting updates to check with me first before downloading the update and again to ask me if I want to do a restart once the update has been installed.

I found that regardless of the setting I put in place if there were any kind of windows update, it would disregard the settings, download and install the update and automatically do a reboot. Thus I had no idea that an update was already dl'ng and installing til it was too late (not that I could stop it anyway)

I've also tried the stop update settings and they don't work either. If I was ever able to stop the gameinput **** at some point shortly after it would still update and reset the gameinput **** thus causing another crash. These types of crashes were random, not game or video related. It's even done a crash while idle overnight.

I haven't been able to pin it down either, other than it frequently happens whenever another windows update occurs. I've even had it occur while the machine was asleep.

Interesting. I just fired up Encoder and queued up a 4k video encode, with some other heavy use programs running in the background, to see if I could replicate. Encoded for me without issue, so no dice there.

Seems to be really hard to pin down what causes the "reconfiguration" as I note that I never have the crash when the computer is sitting idle, even with multiple programmes / games open.

Come on MVP's - prove us wrong, help us fix this!

I should have included the following points.

I cannot do any video compressing as it 99.9 % trips this issue and crashes.

I cannot play any game and have a movie or video running on another screen. I haven't noticed if it does the same when streaming a movie like Netflix, just when the movie is playing from my hdd.

There's a solution thread out there where using a free program called Wub will block any updates thus solving the problem...doesn't work for ****.

Overall, I'm limited to doing only 1 thing at a time.

I can stream video and audio shows to my radio station and video platform so far but nothing else can be running at the same time.

Only solution I've found or I've been lucky so far. I can play a game but nothing else can be running. I manually transfer any audio or video editing/compressing to my laptop I added to the same desk using a flash drive and do the work there.

**** the "Pro's" they all just copy paste the same **** idea's other "Pro's" have already posted elsewhere. They ain't truly interested in fixing ****. I tell

you right now that you take away the MVP point system they use to score their levels and they all disapear. No points, No help (not that they are time and again really helping)
