I'm trying to install the 2022-07 update for Windows 11. Every time I try it gets to 35% the I get the following error message & it tells me to retry.

2022-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems

(KB5015814). Install error - 0x80073701

I'm not a computer expert so any help would be appreciated.

TIA

Rick

None of the steps fixed the problem. I'm going to do the in-place Upgrade when I get a chance. Hope it works.

Anything I need to do before doing this?

    TIA

    Hello R,

Thank you for updating me with that information. I apologize that the above methods did not resolve the issue.

**Few things to check on the PC before performing an In-place upgrade.

    1. Back up your personal data and files to an external hard drive, USB thumb drive.
    2. Ensure you are signed in or have administrator rights to do a repair install
    3. Unplug all external peripherals except for the Mouse, Keyboard, and LAN cable before starting
    4. Disable or uninstall any 3rd party Anti-Virus program to prevent it from interfering with the upgrade

Kindly let me know how it goes.

    Kind regards,

    John DeV
