Microsoft GameInput Application Reconfiguration Crashes Win 11 PC

What's the Solution here nothing seems to work this **** keeps coming back and crashing PC mid work and during important stuff, I tried all the solutions but this gameinput still comes back and everytime it tries to reconfigure it causes my PC to hard crash/Stuck and i have to force shut my PC. My PSU will fry someday along with the graphics card. I almost had a seizure the other day because the PC crashed while i was playng a game wearing the headphones and it hanged up on me with extremely loud crashing sound blaring through my headphones.

Removing the Xbox app hasn't been proven to work so no need. What else have you been running say on another screen while you try and play your games?

I believe but I could be talking out my **** with my memory the way it is that it only crashed while gaming if I was running a movie / tv show video on my other screen. If I only ran the game, no crash.

Any updates? A few feeks ago my pc started crashing, only sometimes when i alt tab. Not really crashing but mouse moves choppy and slow as hell, constant beeps. I cant really do anything other then restart manually with the power button. i just seen this and went back to all the times that it has happened and they all say the game input reconfig message at each event.

Cant really remove xbox app because i use for voice chat with alot of friends who mainly use xbox.

For anyone that might still be having this issue, I managed to "fix" it by uninstalling GameInput (via Apps & Features in Settings) and then completely removing Windows Gaming Services via Powershell. The main downside to this solution is that you will be unable to use the Xbox App, so if you regularly use GamePass, this might not be a viable option for you.

To remove WGS, use this:

Launch Powershell as an administrator, copy and paste the following command (in bold):

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

Crashing while gaming is new to me and only started this past week. Random crashing started almost a month ago.

One thing I did notice and it might be useful for y'all with bigger brains than me. It's only crashed on me gaming 3 times in the last while.

The game is Hell Let Loose. Graphics settings at Epic and all three crashes happened between maps. The one round, let's say Remagen map ends. The score screen runs for a couple minutes then switches over to the next map loading screen. I'm not switching servers at these times, it's the same server loading a new map. Before the new game map loads and I'm still on the loading screen or the join squad screen, it's all tit's up.

Other than those 3 crashes, all others have been almost random with a number of them coinciding with a windows update even though I have turned updates off and run a program "Wub" which is listed as a solution in a similar thread here.

I can't help to feel there's a graffix connection since initially Miro was working fine for months then suddenly as I mentioned previously it started crashing when I tried to use it to convert and compress my shows from mkv to mp4 files. This Miro software worked fine till a few weeks ago when suddenly the next set of issues listed were crashing. It's still progressing with the crashing happening more and more often and now has the addition of when I'm gaming.

Some muppet is trying to recommend that you buy the Xbox pass, purchase one of the games and install it. The claim is that installing one of their games will correct whatever the issue is. Don't fall for it if you don't have the xbox pass or would purchase a microsoft game etc... It's a load of **** as expected. I've had the Xbox pass for about a year now. Having it doesn't fix ****. It's just another gimmick/method for the microsoft muppets to earn points for themselves for driving sales.

I got a note asking why if I'm so pissed off about these muppets do I keep checking back in. The answer is simple. As all are aware, I don't give two **** about what the MVP muppets have to say. I believe the solution will be worked out by one of the folks who are posting here looking for a solution and are truly working towards a fix. It's not a matter of earning GoodBoy points for us, unlike the muppets.

Well that got a lot longer and more redundant than intended. I BOLD lettering is the primary info i wanted to put up. The rest is me going on a roll to left field. I tried to delete some but I ran out of liquid paper and now need a new monitor. oops...
