Hello
I have recently been blocked from commenting on MSN platform for all articles. This as the subject says due to my user name which is RyDa and have no idea how or why it would breach their guidelines.
I have asked for a review which has been successful and "would be back commenting soon" as they said but it has already been 2-3 days.

I thought Microsoft owned MSN so they should at least get onto the relevant department to get this sorted. Yes I have noticed a few news articles that have had their comments closed, Maybe out of fear what will or has already been said.
It would be good to get someone from MSN then to acknowledge the problem and give a date for a fix as it is really looking bad for them.
I have not seen anything about me personally being blocked, but now I am seeing "Comments Closed" on every MSN article.
About time for Microsoft to tell us what is going on.
Yes it would be helpful to know why they are closing comments to articles and when they will finally fix this user ID name bug.
@ Ry Da - again, thanks for your input. I had thought the same as you. I've spent ages going through all the "sites" but of course all you get is a list of "is this your query" etc. As I had said, I eventually managed an on-line chat with one of the assistants during last week , and to be very fair, she spent over half an hour trying to find me some department to contact. She finally did give me a link which she had hoped would genuinely get me somewhere, but when I used it I was once again over "old ground". I am not impressed that such a huge set-up cannot have even a small dedicated department where people like us can make real contact, and ask first hand why we have been blocked. I fully agree with you - is it too much to ask for a simple explanation?
There have been more conversations "closed" today - as you also rightly said, is MSN actually afraid of what people have to say. If so, then why provide facilities for us to express our views. Surely they are bound to know that we all have differing opinions, but, then, I thought it was called democracy!! As the saying goes "onwards and upwards"! I just continue to "ask for a review" and continue with the reply that the decision has been reversed and I should be able to post again soon - whenever soon may be!!
@ WRMILES - I checked today again in the vain hope that I have been "unblocked" for using my REAL name, without any joy. However, there are still more conversations closed again. As I said to Ry Da, if they do not want people to comment, then why bother anymore. I totally agree with you, an explanation would be good as to why suddenly a lot of comments have been closed. Is it due to whoever happens to be "moderating" at any specific time, or has the overall policy suddenly been changed. Meanwhile we can but speculate!.
