Hello
I have recently been blocked from commenting on MSN platform for all articles. This as the subject says due to my user name which is RyDa and have no idea how or why it would breach their guidelines.
I have asked for a review which has been successful and "would be back commenting soon" as they said but it has already been 2-3 days.

Totally agree with you.
Funnily enough, I had also considered setting up with a different name, but then I decided why should I -firstly I would really like an explanation, and, secondly I have always used my real name on line (Facebook etc), so why should I; I'd probably forget the "new name" anyway!
I certainly hope someone will give us valid reasons VERY soon.
@ Ry Da - glad you have brought up the subject of multiple reviews being successful but you too are still being blocked!!
I have also noticed that more articles are now "closed" for discussion than even last month. As I had said before it seems to be the more "political" based articles and including Russia, Ukraine, China etc.
As for my REAL name still being blocked, I now put in a review request every day, just for the sake of it!!!! I have 17 replies now, telling me that the decision was reversed in my favour, and I should be able to post again "soon"!
All I would like is an explanation as to why my REAL name - Jo Calder is "against guidelines". A Microsoft person assured me that as far as they were concerned there was certainly nothing wrong with my name, but I was led to believe last month that MSN and Microsoft are not connected? Yet, when you bring up an article it is the Microsoft symbol that comes up. I am just utterly confused about all of this now.
For some articles, it may be up to the article author to allow comments.
Yesterday I noticed that most articles are still available for comments. Those articles that cannot be commented may be the author of the article who has turned off the commenting function.
@ WRMILES - I checked today again in the vain hope that I have been "unblocked" for using my REAL name, without any joy. However, there are still more conversations closed again. As I said to Ry Da, if they do not want people to comment, then why bother anymore. I totally agree with you, an explanation would be good as to why suddenly a lot of comments have been closed. Is it due to whoever happens to be "moderating" at any specific time, or has the overall policy suddenly been changed. Meanwhile we can but speculate!.
