Windows 11 with AX210/AX211 unable to see 6GHz network using the latest drivers.

I recently bought a new Asus 6E (6GHz) router, and I have four newer laptops with Intel AX210 and AX211 wireless cards installed, all running Windows 11 or Windows 10 Professional.  Two of these computers came with Windows 11 Professional and the AX210/AX211 wireless cards new, and the other two were upgraded.

None of my computers can see the 6GHz network.   I know the network is broadcasting because my S21 Ultra can see and connect to the 6GHz band.  I've tried the latest manufacturer driver 22.130.0.5 and latest Intel driver 22.140.0.3, and neither of them can see the 6GHz network.

In my search for help, I found this previous post Solved: ax210 window 10 21h2 not showing 6GHz networks - Intel Communities and tried the recommended older 22.45.1.1 driver and it worked.  However, 22.45.1.1 was only provided by the Microsoft Insider program to enable initially enable Wi-Fi 6E support in Windows 10 and is over fifteen months old.

This doesn't seem like a hardware issue since my phone can connect to the 6GHz network, and my computers can connect to the network using the older driver.  I even verified this by purchasing a different Wi-Fi 6E (6GHz) router to confirm it wasn't a router issue.  However, I still can't see the 6Ghz network using any other version of the driver.

I have a help ticket open with the computer manufacturer, router manufacturer, and Intel but thought I would ask here as well since it seems like a software issue.

    I still need to know the processor you are using and the exact Wi-Fi card. The reason is the AX211 in a card with the CNVio interface. So, it uses chipset components and the chipset would need to be Wi-Fi 6e capable, which only seems to happen on the 12th Gen Intel processors (don't know about AMD.)

    An AX210 is self-contained and will work fine if that is the card you have installed.

    You seem to have what you need and should be able to see the 6 GHz radio. I put my 2.5 and 5 GHz networks on the same SSID so I could use 5G-2 for backhaul but I left the 6 GHz network as a different SSID. Mine has worked fine as soon as they released Win 11.

    If you want to try, there may be someone in the ROG forum that would have some ideas..

    Computer 1 - Dell XPS 9520 with i7-12700H with an AX211.

    Computer 2 - Dell Precision 7560 with i7-11800H and AX210.

    Both computers are configured as delivered from Dell.

    An AX210 is self-contained and will work fine if that is the card you have installed.

    Thanks. I've watched that forum for similar issues but haven't seen it addressed there, although a Google search shows other users with the exact same issue.

    Seems odd that just changing the software driver immediately allows, or disallows, the 6GHz capability in my circumstances,

    I suppose this may be important, it seems some of the new Dell systems will not do Wi-Fi 6e.

    Here is that thread in case it is not you. In that situation it was involving an Intel Killer 1675(AX211) Wi-Fi card.

    Dell hasn't confirmed whether the XPS 9520 supports Wi-Fi 6E, if they have intentionally disabled, or if their specifications need updating yet. I actually started that thread, and am awaiting Dell's official response, along with this one for my Precision 7560 which does support Wi-Fi 6E.

    It has to be a software issue otherwise it wouldn't even work with the old 22.45.1.1 driver.

    I have exactly same issue with alienware x14 with AX211 where I am not able to connect via 6GHz to my ZenWiFi Pro ET12. Please let us know if you will get response from DELL. Thanks
