Windows 11 keyboard lag. Nothing fixes it

This problem started about 2 months ago. It effects both the keyboard and the mouse. I am using a wireless keyboard.

Logitech MX710 I have used this keyboard successfully for about 3 years. My previous keyboard also Logitech wireless worked for about 5 years before I replaced it. I have reached out to Logitech and they do not have any drivers to use with their unifying receiver. I have checked so many helpful hints online that I have lost track of how many times I have tried each of them again and again.

I have tried the following steps:

reloaded drivers from windows, windows update, and computer based.

Removed keyboard filters

Changed repeat rate from medium to fast

Ran Keyboard troubleshooter

ran DSIM.exe /online /cleanup-image / restorehealth

ran sfc /scannow

restarted computer

Still have a very slow - skipping - laggy keyboard.

    After attempting everything I could think of and suggested, I finally gave up and purchased a new keyboard and mouse NONE LOGITECH). Previously as many have suggested, I had moved my dongle closer to the keyboard. It was 6 inches away from the mouse and 12 inches away from the keyboard at my last attempt. This still did not help. The best I can figure is the dongle becomes worn out or somehow fowled or as suggested by the evidence it is a software bug from windows 11. There appears no reliable way to reset the device. Replacing the keyboard and mouse worked just find. Good luck to everyone having this issue.

    My computer is only a month old. Dongle shouldn't be worn out.

    Your results may vary. I simply reported what did and did not work for me. While the dongle is solid state - it should theoretically never wear out. I was simply trying to provide, in common man language, an explanation for the issue I was experiencing. I got tired of dealing with Logitech and the suggestions presented on this form which did not help. After purchasing a new keyboard/mouse I am able to place my dongle about 5 feet away on my computer. May you experience better luck with your issues.

    This should solve the problem, as I've experienced the same issue(s) & performed your exact steps above.

    Remove/delete all the keyboard devices from the 'device manager', and reboot the machine.

    Don't download/install or use the keyboard manufacturer's driver software but only allow Win 11 OS, built-in drivers.

    You probably have cookies / marketing junk on your machine tracking.
