Windows 11 keyboard lag. Nothing fixes it

This problem started about 2 months ago. It effects both the keyboard and the mouse. I am using a wireless keyboard.

Logitech MX710 I have used this keyboard successfully for about 3 years. My previous keyboard also Logitech wireless worked for about 5 years before I replaced it. I have reached out to Logitech and they do not have any drivers to use with their unifying receiver. I have checked so many helpful hints online that I have lost track of how many times I have tried each of them again and again.

I have tried the following steps:

reloaded drivers from windows, windows update, and computer based.

Removed keyboard filters

Changed repeat rate from medium to fast

Ran Keyboard troubleshooter

ran DSIM.exe /online /cleanup-image / restorehealth

ran sfc /scannow

restarted computer

Still have a very slow - skipping - laggy keyboard.

    Hello there!

    I had the same issue and tried the same steps as you but nothing seemed to fix it.

    Then I found a solution that worked for me. I am not from a computers background so apologies in advance for the clunky explanation.

    Windows 11 (for some godforsaken reason) has too little virtual RAM allocation by default. So if there are programs consuming too much memory, the system puts the keyboard input "on hold" until its done processing.

    I increased the VRAM allocation, and the issue was fixed.

    Changing VRAM allocation:

    Settings > System > About > Advanced system settings > Advanced (tab) > Settings (under Performance) > Advanced (tab) > Change (under Virtual memory) > Uncheck Auto manage paging size > Select Custom size > Enter initial and max values > Set > Ok

    I used 9216 MB and 12288 MB as initial and max size for my PC with 16GB of RAM, I suggest doing your own research to find the right values for your PC.

    I have the exact same issues.

    I had a Logitech K400 wireless keyboard with mouse track. I then changed to a wireless Microsoft keyboard and still no joy.

    My last straw was to change to a wired keyboard and mouse and still I have these issues.

    This is definitely a windows 11 issue and not the peripherals.

    Does anyone have a fix for this yet as it's driving me crazy to the point I actually hate using my PC and now use my Surface Pro more.

    my power plan is set on balanced and there are no other options. No usb settings there and can’t find the setting to disable.

    We have had a few clients reporting similar issues which has started over the past 3-4 weeks. We applied every possble update for the HP laptops in question running Windows 11 Pro. Updated Office 365 and any available windows updates. BIO's and drivers

    Lag occurs with USB keyboard , Wireless Keyboard and Laptop keyboard (no other devices attached)

    Because the clients are using Outlook a majority of the time this is where its noticed the most

    In the past we would look at Word and disable hardware acceleration but this feature has been removed. Is it possble this is causing the issue?
