How would I be able to tell where that drive is located besides taking the laptop apart? This system is still under warranty. I would not be able to know much about what happened specifically. I think that nothing probably notable that should have affected the temperature. I was in a room that would have had A/C on as far as I know. I had ran those tests. However, I don't specifically remember. The system may have had programs running in the background. I just know that I put the laptop somewhere in the house (probably on a desk), and ran those requested tests. It may have been early evening or late evening.

Someone asked me to use CrystalDiskinfo before, but I had asked about the software requirements on that link, and which version to use, but I never received a reply.

I have some concerns about safe mode, since windows 10 (as far as the current version goes), will not function with networking anymore. My old system did on the previous version of windows 10, but this one does not. Nobody has been able to tell me anything but to try with a portable router and some kind of cable plugged into something, and to not try to do anything about wifi anymore, which basically means to give up on wifi in safe mode forever, and just use a workaround. It is not always feasible to try to use some peripherals and to somehow hook up to a local device. It does not make sense to use a laptop like a desktop computer hooked up like a local area network when windows 10 is supposed to allow for wifi in safe mode with networking.

Booting into safe mode is required to turn of WDV.

It can be safe mode, safe mode with networking, or safe mode with command prompt.

Then run one or more of the commands in the prior post or link to turn off the tool.

The computer will not boot to the desktop and will continue to BSOD as WDV remains on until it is turned off.

Some computers cannot boot into safe mode with wifi but can boot into safe mode with Ethernet.

Make a new restore point before starting the tool.

Learn the commands to turn off the tool by booting into safe mode and running verifier /reset and / or verifier /bootmode resetonbootfail

Test all non-Microsoft drivers.

Test no Microsoft drivers.

So, what is this remote desktop experience specifically testing? I noticed that crystal disk info requires a net framework. How can I check if I have that? What is this BSOD/stop error thing? I read it is blue or black screen of death. Is it supposed to cause my system to crash? My system seems to not be able to use wifi safe mode for some reason, while the previous one could. Why might this be? it seems like a problem, since ethernet is not always an option.

I think that I could theoretically copy commands for that by typing them into my phone. Is it guaranteed to get out of if I have a restore point? Is that resetonbootfail the coorect command? How do I test those drivers? I noticed that I think the intel program did not install the new driver, but probably downloaded it. The program recommended to use the HP resource to install drivers.

Which post are you referring to about the tenforums link? there was something in my previous post that i was asking about that I don't know how to do. it was about finding a memory dump file. I am skeptical about the whole thing about the C:/ drive becoming less healthy and the temperature after barely having the system. Windows keeps updating, then I keep having new errors. I read that hard drives degrade the more that they are rewritten. Everything else is new data besides Windows data. It is really not all new, but it was copied from the external hard drive. It was newly written to this hard drive. It should not degrade so fast. It seems possible that it is overworking and b being overwritten too fast. It should not start being degraded in less than 1 year.

The computer logs indicated that the computer is having BSOD.

WDV stress tests drivers and those that are misbehaving should crash.

If dump files are created they can be debugged.

i don't understand all of this completely. Can Crystal Disk Tool cause problems itself?

It looks like WDV can cause problems since the post says it has the intention to make drivers fail.

I noticed that restore points are necessary. I also noticed that the information regarding installing windows on top of the already installed version, but keeping the files, basically erases programs, etc.

I just transferred tons of files onto the main hard drive, and secondary hard drive before posting this thread. i have installed software programs and registered them. In the process, I also updated windows and suddenly this issue occurred.

What happens if a program built by both microsoft and a third party causes drivers to fail?

I am in the process of transferring things from a failing hard drive to this system and also transferring an itunes account to this system and then i intend to get a new phone. I am also trying to make a big project which has been started on this system.
