My Win 11 PC won't wake up from sleep using the keyboard or mouse.

My Win 11 PC can only wake up by pressing the power button. How do make it able to wake up using the keyboard or mouse?

I have checked the option that says "Enable wake up using mouse or keyboard" somewhere, but it doesn't make any difference.

My PC is updated to the latest system update.

I believe I found the solution, it is a Windows power-saving policy where USB power is cut off when the computer goes into sleep mode, so the keyboard receiver will not work, and the computer will not wake up as a result. You just need to disable this feature.

Settings > Energy e Battery > Energy Recommendations > Stop usb devices when my screen is off to save battery ----> Turn Off.

I followed your instructions, but can't find this setting anywhere:

Stop usb devices when my screen is off to save battery

Easier said than done. I hate Microsoft. It's as if they are deliberately trying to make their products ****.

How am I supposed to know which of these are my mouse and keyboard?? Opening properties tells me nothing.

    Windows 11.

Update: I eventually checked them all, and the last 4 have a setting "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." I've unchecked them all. There is also a setting "Allow this device to wake the computer," but it is unchecked and greyed-out wherever it appears. I can't activate it on anything in this window.

I agree with Rich McGinnis about Software as a "Service" but my response is much longer and contains many more words unfit for polite conversation. Microsoft has effectively turned us all into unpaid tech service people. ****.
