My Win 11 PC can only wake up by pressing the power button. How do make it able to wake up using the keyboard or mouse?

I have checked the option that says "Enable wake up using mouse or keyboard" somewhere, but it doesn't make any difference.

My PC is updated to the latest system update.

I believe I found the solution, it is a Windows power-saving policy where USB power is cut off when the computer goes into sleep mode, so the keyboard receiver will not work, and the computer will not wake up as a result. You just need to disable this feature.

Settings > Energy e Battery > Energy Recommendations > Stop usb devices when my screen is off to save battery ----> Turn Off.

    None of the suggested fixes worked for me, but I finally fixed it by going into BIOS settings (MSI motherboard...(del key on restart) and changing a setting in the advanced menus to allow USB to wake from sleep. Works now.

    The suggestion offered by Artie-1 is the only one that comes close to a solution.

    Who ever suggested [back in April 2023] "Energy e battery" is not living on this planet -- there is no "Energy e Battery" is Windows 11 -- wake up dude.

    The best way to tackle this issue is in Device Manager: Select Keyboard and Mouse Power Management and check for computer to wake from this devices. Also under Device Manager, select all of the line items named USB Input Device. For each of these, select Power Management and uncheck the box that says "Allow Computer to turn off this device".

    I am attempted to solve the Win 11 does not wake from sleep problem with the options mentioned above -- I trust that these may solve the issue.

    I was one of you, who got really frustrated for this problem. Tried many things, all mentioned here. Nothing worked. At last, the unchecking the checkbox Turn on Fast Startup solved the problem for me. This setting can be changed in the following link. Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options\System Settings. the select "Choose what the power button do" >>change settings that are currently unavailable

    I was having this issue on a desktop I built this past week. I saw this post and tried all the recommendations to no avail. I did find a solution, however, it may not work for everyone.

    I built the computer using the MSI PRO Z790-P WIFI DDR4 motherboard. When none of the suggestions in this thread worked I started poking around in the BIOS as I had seen some advanced power management options while setting up the computer.

    Go to (or try to find an equivalent):

    Settings->Advanced->Wake Up Event Setup->Wake Up Event By: set this option to 'BIOS' (I tried using the 'OS' option, but it didn't seem to work)

    Settings->Advanced->Wake Up Event Setup->Resume By USB Device: set this option to 'Enabled' (This will automatically enable the Settings->Advanced->Power Management Setup->USB Standby Power At S4/S5)

    After I turned those BIOS settings on I can now wake my computer from sleep with the keyboard or mouse with no changes to my OS settings (as my keyboard and mouse were already allowed to wake the computer from sleep by default).

    This solution worked for me. I have a similar motherboard to yours, except mine is B760-P. My PC is waking from both my keyboard and mouse now.
