My Win 11 PC won't wake up from sleep using the keyboard or mouse.

My Win 11 PC can only wake up by pressing the power button. How do make it able to wake up using the keyboard or mouse?

I have checked the option that says "Enable wake up using mouse or keyboard" somewhere, but it doesn't make any difference.

My PC is updated to the latest system update.

I believe I found the solution, it is a Windows power-saving policy where USB power is cut off when the computer goes into sleep mode, so the keyboard receiver will not work, and the computer will not wake up as a result. You just need to disable this feature.

Settings > Energy e Battery > Energy Recommendations > Stop usb devices when my screen is off to save battery ----> Turn Off.

The MS tech lead me through the inputs required to sort out the problems and then through the inputs required to fix it. Almost 48 hours now without a glitch. The inputs found a failed component, but said it was repairable, and the succeeding inputs brought a message that component was fixed.

I have an American Megatrends Bios. Couldnt find any usb settings related to waking computer from sleep. Also checked in advanced power control settings, nothing there related to this issue. Frustrating. I do know that there is no power at any usb port in sleep mode, so thats why keyboard and mouse are unable to wake computer. But the question remains, how to fix it so power is available to the usb ports.

From the power settings I know that hybrid sleep is not enabled.

So far my hour plus with the MS tech seems to still be working 36 hours in. No glitches yet - they said if it was still good 48 hours out, it should be fixed. Holding fingers crossed.
