My Win 11 PC can only wake up by pressing the power button. How do make it able to wake up using the keyboard or mouse?

I have checked the option that says "Enable wake up using mouse or keyboard" somewhere, but it doesn't make any difference.

My PC is updated to the latest system update.

I believe I found the solution, it is a Windows power-saving policy where USB power is cut off when the computer goes into sleep mode, so the keyboard receiver will not work, and the computer will not wake up as a result. You just need to disable this feature.

Settings > Energy e Battery > Energy Recommendations > Stop usb devices when my screen is off to save battery ----> Turn Off.

You would have to find someone to interpret your instructions, as this old man has no idea what you are telling me to do. I only know how to turn on a computer and use various programs. I know nothing about bios or UEFI or anything past the keyboard.

    Thanks.

Pity Microsoft seem to be ignoring this.

Usually the reason for the mouse or keyboard not waking up during sleep, is because the UEFI still has control. Check your settings in your UEFI or BIOS in power settings. I believe that one is called "Over-ride Windows Power Settings" or something like that in the EUFI.

I had to laugh (almost) thought maybe they read these things and fix behind the scenes. As of three days ago, mine has not locked up, and my thumbnails mysteriously reappeared on my desktop, and only had one bluescreen shutdown and auto reboot in three days. That's a record. Now I see I have an update that needs to be installed. I'm almost scared to do it.
