My Win 11 PC won't wake up from sleep using the keyboard or mouse.

My Win 11 PC can only wake up by pressing the power button. How do make it able to wake up using the keyboard or mouse?

I have checked the option that says "Enable wake up using mouse or keyboard" somewhere, but it doesn't make any difference.

My PC is updated to the latest system update.

I believe I found the solution, it is a Windows power-saving policy where USB power is cut off when the computer goes into sleep mode, so the keyboard receiver will not work, and the computer will not wake up as a result. You just need to disable this feature.

Settings > Energy e Battery > Energy Recommendations > Stop usb devices when my screen is off to save battery ----> Turn Off.

It doesn't work quite that way on Windows 11. Here's how it does work:

SETTINGS/SYSTEM/POWER&BATTERY/ENERGY RECOMMENDATIONS/STOP USB DEVICES WHEN MY SCREEN IS OFF TO HELP SAVE BATTERY.

Make sure that STOP USB DEVICES WHEN MY SCREEN IS OFF TO HELP SAVE BATTERY. is OFF.

I have encountered this problem, possibly since a Wednesday, January 15 Microsoft update. I am able to get past the lock screen by pressing and holding CTRL+ALT+DEL on my keyboard.

It's January 2025 and what a same problem, I'm going to upgrade my windows 11 OS to window 10, and downgrade the OS version from 11 to 10. This is how it must describe.

@ClintGeer Thank you so much for your posted solution! Like you, I had tried all of the previously recommended solutions and none of them worked. Your solution using BIOS settings worked perfectly!
