Hello,

made new PC where i get sometimes Blueescreen. First i thought it was the wifi driver, after that i had some days peace. (Yes i use wifi). Under load it did not happen, usally if am browsing or doing nothing.

Changes in Bios: AMD-V,EXPO Profile, Adjusted Fan Curve Silent, Updated to the newest Bios (Since my Fan Cases PMW where always at 1100 RPM).

Inside the Eventviewer i cant get any clue, only before where it says Wifi had connection issues (Critical, so i get a driver from Lenovo, since Gigabyte did not provide the newest.)

Yes, hardware acceleration may cause a problems sometimes. OK, let's wait.

Hey, just wanted to say you're not alone.

I found your post by searching for the same issue I am having, as BlueScreenView also mentioned the same ntoskrnl.exe issue.

If it helps, I have tested it on two different motherboard and RAM combinations, both of which seemingly checked out fine in tests.

    Specs:
    Intel Core i7-13700K 3.4 GHz 16-Core Processor
ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 240 56.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (with brackets to work with LGA1700 CPUs)
    Kingston KC3000 1.024 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive
ASRock Radeon RX 7900 XT 20GB Radeon RX 7900 XT 20 GB Video Card
EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G6 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
Phanteks Eclipse P500A D-RGB ATX Mid Tower Case

    Original Motherboard and RAM:
Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE AX DDR4 ATX LGA1700 Motherboard
    Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory

    Current Motherboard and RAM:
    ASRock Z790 PG SONIC
    Trident Z5 RGB 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5-6000 PC5-48000

Tested on both Windows 10 and 11 Professional.

Same exact problems as you. Seemingly random freezes, hangs for several seconds, and then a blue screen with the DPC_Watchdog_Violation. AMD error report upon reboot as well. I too thought it was the WiFi portion of the original motherboard since Event Viewer showed that going nuts during a crash, but the new one I have does not have onboard WiFi, which eliminates that being the issue.

Considering our different specs, it would seem the things we both definitely have in common are the graphic card architecture and AMD drivers. Does your blue screen look crazy glitched as well?

Disabling hardware acceleration could help, had no BOD till now (I just disabled it in edge, since i dont have anything other open mostly, except games).

Be aware other programms like steam, discord, edge/browsers could also have hardware acceleration.

What i also came across there is you can disable MPO MPO Fix for 6000 Series AMD GPUs (Fixes stutters & more) : AMDHelp (reddit.com)

Or disable under AMD Software Center (Adrealin Edition) -> Settings --> Graphics --> Wait for vertical sync (last option).

Let me know if these other fixes helped you, so i can try them in future too. What i also saw often before the crash in the event viewer, there was windows entry with update always, but this could be coincidental.

Hi, try to disable MPO or FreeSync.

Maybe this is Windows 11/AMD Driver issue.
