How do I stop renamed files from moving to upper left corner
A few months ago I switched to a new laptop, then immediately downloaded windows upgrade on it, so I don't know which factor causes this. But ever since, every time I rename a file on the desktop, windows immediately moves the file to the upper left corner of the screen, or the nearest open space to this point. This is confusing when I'm trying to keep track of and arrange my desktop files in some other way, and I have to keep moving the file back to where I want it.

2023-05-06T20:51:17+00:00 Hmm, I thought I had it figured out by turning off auto arrange icons from the command prompt.

but then it stopped working. Maybe that helped. I'll never know because even 5 more seconds messing with the registry to get Windows 11 to work would be unbearable.
but what I eventually found out is it only works on the CENTER monitor. Not monitor 1, I know because I switched the cable around. It is specifically the CENTER monitor. Nice job Microsoft, what a piece of junk.
oh okay, that stopped working again too. I guess this is how people go crazy. Ha ha, just kidding Microsoft.
Anyways, this is the last time I will update this post as I keep having to come back here to correct it when things break again.
What I have learned so far is it doesn't happen when you first start windows. It happens sometime later. Maybe there is some program other than one drive that does this because i already uninstalled one drive.
