Windows 11 language bar "docked in the taskbar" greyed out

Hi,

There are 3 options:

Floating On Desktop

Docked in the taskbar

Hidden

However, the docked option is greyed out. How can I get it docked in taskbar?

    I followed the thread and got totally lost. Is Microsoft aware of the problem? It does not have to be that complicated. The language bar is an essential and simple thing that shouldn't require jumping around. It doesn't work for me, the option "docked to the task bar" is grayed out.

    I used windows 7, 8, 10 - never had a problem with it

    In the much louded windows 11 it's not working

    Microsoft, wake up

    I had the same problem, now it is solved.

    1. Go to your languages in settings.
    2. Click on the ... after any language.
    3. Choose language options
    4. Install keyboard, add the keyboard layout you want

    This will fix both the language shift by keys AND the docking the languages in the taskbar.

    It's unchecked. However, the language bar does not show up in the corner of taskbar

    Finally I got solve this problem. You must check for the "Use the Desktop language bar when it's available" in the first time after that you must make sure you have checked the language bar is floating on the desktop. When you change the language to English and uncheck the "Use the Desktop language bar when it's available" then the language bar will get docked on the taskbar automatically.
