My HP laptop doesn’t show any wifi connections

My HP laptop won’t show any wifi connections when I click on the no wifi logo. The only two options on there are the airplane mode toggle which won’t work currently and the link to network settings. I’ve tried using the link and trouble shooting but it is yet to fix my problem. The laptop this issue is currently occurring on uses windows 10

    That mark indicates that the driver is malfunctioning. You may need to uninstall it and then restart the system so Windows can reinstall it.

    Hi Nicole

    Im not exactly sure if my laptops model, but in device manager under network adapters Intel(R) Wi-Fi with some other things afterwards has an orange triangle with an exclamation mark on top of the desktop logo. Could that have anything to do with the issue?

    Hi, I’m Nicole, I’ll be happy to help you out today.

    The problem might be caused by the WIFI driver missing or getting hidden.

    First, check in device manager.

    Open device manager by right-clicking the Windows logo then click device manager.

    Next, double-click network adapters to expand it.

    Next, check if you can see your WIFI driver there, if yes, right-click it then click uninstall device then restart the system so Windows can reinstall it. If not, proceed to the next step.

    Click view then click show hidden devices in device manager. After that, go back to network adapters and check if you can see your WIFI driver now. If yes, follow the steps to uninstall it. if not, proceed to the next step.

    You may need to provide the exact model of your laptop so I can help you get the WIFI driver from the HP website. To provide the information needed, press Windows key + r to open run then type msinfo32 in run then press enter.
