Why does my snipping tool no longer bring up the pop up image to edit?

Snipping tool not showing notification after capture if capture is larger than 60% of screen. Running on windows 11 Pro, OS Build 22631.3447.
Notifications are enabled, and if captured less than 60% of screen shows capture notification.

I'm not finding the same problem with less than or greater than 60%. From the smallest to very large boxes that I draw using Windows Key + Shift + S, the notification always appears in the bottom right-hand corner. Clicking anywhere on the notification then causes the editor window to make an appearance albeit in fairly random positions on the display - it never remembers its last position and size. Sometimes it's so high on the display the windows control buttons (Min,Max and Close) at the top-right can't be seen.

That is my single biggest gripe at the moment. The Snipping Tool is not obeying one of the fundamental conventions of Windows that the position and size of a window for a given application is remembered for next time.

My Windows version is a little behind yours so I'll test again when I get to 3447.

I was able to resolve this by a simple machine restart.

Indeed, a restart of Windows is always a good idea in these circumstances. But the problem persists.

Each successive display of the editor window starts by gradually moving up the display until the title bar is pretty much hidden and may then move down to the right with the bottom and right sides of the window beyond the edge of the display. I drag it back to a more central position but this is never remembered. Also the size of the window reverts to some default size even after I've reduced the size.
