I've been using the Snippet Tool since 2019 and it's worked fine for me. Only difference: My work version allowed text. My home version did not. I miss that.
Why does my snipping tool no longer bring up the pop up image to edit?
My Snip tool used to bring the image I captured in a pop up automatically, that I could edit when using the windows key & Ctrl S. It no longer does this? Is there a setting I need to change? I have to actually open the Snip Tool Menu to get this to work now. Not sure if some update was done by my IT people that changed this.

2023-07-15T16:44:15+00:00 One thing I've noticed, under Settings it says something like: The snippet can be automatically sent to your clipboard.
What I did: Opened a new Word doc and did a Copy + Paste onto it and it worked. While there is no prompt anymore in the upper left to Save, I used C + S and that came up with a number of ways to do that.
I'm finding this very time consuming - and thankfully I already know most of the shortcut keys. Any additional help would be deeply appreciated.

I haven't read all the comments yet, but I'm hoping there's a hint somewhere that might help.

The app works fine in every aspect, it just doesn't stay in the foreground like it used to before they introduced screen recording and despite what people say, there's no fix for it.
