Why does my snipping tool no longer bring up the pop up image to edit?

My Snip tool used to bring the image I captured in a pop up automatically, that I could edit when using the windows key & Ctrl S. It no longer does this? Is there a setting I need to change? I have to actually open the Snip Tool Menu to get this to work now. Not sure if some update was done by my IT people that changed this.

I had this problem, too. My fix: do you have Focus Assist on? I turn it off, but for whatever DUMB reason, at some point it turns back on. Not sure if it's when I restart intentionally or do a hard restart. But that is usually the culprit. I turn off Focus Assist, and I'm back to normal with the popup notifications. Not sure if it's applicable to your situation.

I hope this helps someone - for me I had to turn 'do not disturb' off, even though the screenshot pop-up is set to come on when do not disturb is enabled.

I didn't turn 'do not disturb' on that I know of, but Windows 11 thought I shouldn't be disturbed by trying to save my screenshot I guess...

I scanned through this thread and then realized - my focus assist was on!
While on, the popups stop popping up.
I turned the focus assist off. Now when I snip the screenshot, my snips pop up again. Hope this helps someone else.

Correct, this is the actual fix we're all looking for. Fixed it today after a year of the issue.

Open snipping tool, go to settings, turn OFF “Auto Save screenshots”

I really hate that my solution (and the only thing that works for me) is the exact opposite (that is, turning auto-save screenshots ON), but c'est la vie.
