Why does my snipping tool no longer bring up the pop up image to edit?

My Snip tool used to bring the image I captured in a pop up automatically, that I could edit when using the windows key & Ctrl S. It no longer does this? Is there a setting I need to change? I have to actually open the Snip Tool Menu to get this to work now. Not sure if some update was done by my IT people that changed this.

I had the same problem as the OP - the popup (which had always appeared when I snipped) was not appearing anymore. I restarted my computer, and the popup appeared again when I did a snip. Simple fix!

I already figured that out and that is exactly what was happening.

    Thanks!!

If anything doesn't work, check if 'Do Not Disturb' is enabled (System > Notifications). If yes, then turn it off. It should solve the problem.

YES! That fixed it for me! I have a new laptop and am still tweaking the settings.

Sometimes I just want to copy something, then have it on the screen to refer to for a moment, not save it. I had no idea it was saving all my screenshots to a folder! I've turned that off and cleaned up those files now.

There used to be a keyboard shortcut to open the snipping tool after doing a screenshot, but I can't remember it and can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know what that was?
