Why does my snipping tool no longer bring up the pop up image to edit?

My Snip tool used to bring the image I captured in a pop up automatically, that I could edit when using the windows key & Ctrl S. It no longer does this? Is there a setting I need to change? I have to actually open the Snip Tool Menu to get this to work now. Not sure if some update was done by my IT people that changed this.

This worked perfectly and should be the accepted solution.

This solution worked once for me. Then every time after that I try to use the tool, doesn't work, and have to go click on the tool pinned in task bar to find my snip. Super frustrating. I also tried to "repair" it. Still didn't work. This tool worked so well in Windows 10.

Yay! Thank you so much for sharing this post. This worked for me.

FYI - my snip tool started opening snips in Microsoft Edge....:( Not where I wanted them as I often save the files as well as pasting into another place.

    Anyway, thanks!
