Windows clean install-sufficient hard disk storage space. Error 0x800700EE

Hi guys.

For over a week I tried to find the cause of this error message, without success. I want a clean reinstall of Windows 10 ver. 22H2 ver. 19045.2486, but will keep existing apps and settings. I use Multimdeia Creator for win 10, from a USB flash storage.

I know that a fresh install of Windows 10 will require 32GB of free storage space. My C: HDD had 77GB of free space. After deleting temporary files, trash, moving files from Dokumet and image folders, I now have more than 400GB available. I have also tried sfc /scannow oh chkdsk /c /f, the aforementioned with boot scan because the C disk must not be locked as it often is under Windows.

Does anyone know why this error might occur?

Very grateful for contributions here.

    (1) You would first create 116 MB of unallocated space using "right-click START, Disk Management", followed by "right-click C:, Shrink volume". This creates enough space for EFI (100 MB) & MSR (16 MB). Unlike AOMEI, Disk Management allows you to specify MBs (instead of GBs) in the dialog. Put 116 into the "Enter the amount of space to shrink in MB" box, then click the Shrink button....

    (2) Then AOMEI Partition Assistant can slide C: rightward over the unallocated space this way...

    (a) Open AOMEI Partition Assistant.

    (b) Select C: partition.

    (c) Click Resize/Move Partition...

    (d) In the dialog that opens...

    1. Put a checkmark into "I need to move this partition".
    2. Move the cursor into C:. It will appear as four arrows joined at their base (as I have drawn).
    3. Drag that cursor rightward as far as it will go, then click OK.

    This will move C: over the 116 MB of unallocated space. Unfortunately, you likely won't notice anything is happening because 116 MB is so small compared to the GBs of C:. Just be sure tactilely that you've dragged it all the way.

    1. The Apply button will light up at the top left of AOMEI. Click it & follow instructions to complete the operation which surely will involve a reboot. Or, click the Discard button to cancel it.

    "Thank you for your reply. I’m afraid our program is unable to help you on this issue, please try other tools.
    If you have any other questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact us back." Virkelig skuffende, men også undrede til et slik "PARTITIONS" program.

    This Picture is 'standard' from Microsoft Virtual Disk Service. Sett bort i fra språket (It's Norwegian) er dette et standard bilde som viser hvordan Microsoft detekterer alle mine installerte HDD.

    Det er tidligere nevnt i tekst at jeg hadde mindre "forståelse" eller gleder av Microsoft sitt Backup&Restore software. Det medfører ikke til riktighet. Hver helg, vanligvis på Søndager blir det gjennomført OS bilde backup av Windows 10. Erfaringer så langt i tid er at dette avgir er fungerende avtrykk. Imidlertid, Windows Backup&Restore kan også foreta en generelt backup av innholdet av boot disken-sammen med et bilde av OS. Det er den, og bare denne kombinasjonen som jeg ikke får til. Det ender med BSOD, error MEMORY_MANAGEMENT. Der bare den skjermen som BIOS booter opp med blir blå i farge, mens skjerm 2nd fryses. Akkurat dette siste nevnte problem har jeg foreløpig ikke tenkt videre over og har heller ikke tenkt over om jeg vil bruke tidsforbruk med heller. Da er det viktigere med å få til en gjenskapelse av OS, men beholde installerte filer og programvare.

    Når det gjelder Challenger Backup Solutions, fortsatt arbeides det med en fjerning av dette.

    I am glad things look bright for you & spouse. That's the best news this thread can hold.

    (1)

    (a) I can't understand the language in your picture. I don't even know what language it is.

    (b) My experience with virtual disks is limited. I don't think you have installed Windows into one.

    (c) You should try to make a system image with Macrium. Ramesh will help. I don't use that one, but I believe it is a good one. It likely can work with the unusual installation you've got. After your partitions are back to normal, Windows Backup & Restore will work again.

    (d) I don't know Challenger Backup Solutions. I hope you will be able to uninstall it.

    (2) OK, answer my other questions when able. I will be here.

    Jeg vil takke for dine med følelser.

    Før jeg i det hele tatt kan få testet ut BCDEdit, jeg må få til tilgangen til disken, disk 0.

    Jeg skal ta opp tråden til dine spørsmål når EFI for disk 0 er på plass.
