[Win 11] Microsoft store's Apps close on while on sleeping

Description: when my device goes to sleep it closes my apps which were installed with Microsoft Store.

Device: Microsoft Laptop Studio

System: Windows 11, all updates installed, drivers up to date.

Tried: all solutions from topics above.

  1. Reset Microsoft Store.
  2. Re-register all its apps and store itself with a powershell (successfully).

Result: none.

Additional info: I'm using 4-6 desktops and constantly switching between. If I have some of MS apps on some screen it can be closed (without any crash message) just on desktop switching (but not always). If laptop goes to sleep - all MS apps are closed every time.

PS: asked my co-workers with win11 - the problem persists almost on every machine with win11. Weird that Microsoft doesn't fix it. It's very annoying.

    Surface Pro 8 Windows 11 Home 22621.1105 - exactly the same problem. A clean install doesn't help. The problem appeared about 2 months ago.

    A temporary solution is to restart the computer and never turn on sleep. As soon as the PC goes to sleep at least once, applications (only from the store) will start to close on all subsequent sleeps and you will have to restart the computer again. For me, the big problem is closing the Notepad app and, as a result, deleting the data in it (all printed text)

    One person on reddit said that switching from Windows 11 Home to Windows 11 Pro helped him. Indeed, please note that everyone who points out this problem is using the Home version.

    Hello,
    Same here. I have Windows 11 Pro and I have been having this issue for a month already. I don't know what might have triggered it but it's definitely something dev-related. I ran the script attached to this post to reset and re-register the MS Store and that seemed to work fine for a few days. Interestingly, when I reset the store, I got an update right after I hit restart. Maybe that's windows' way to fix itself? Anyways, I am not sure if this comment is going to make a difference...

    At this point I just want to go back to Windows 10 but the option to return has disappeared from settings given it's been more than 10 days since I updated. If no one is able to help with this issue, then (at least) post instructions to return to windows 10 for those of us that don't have the option anymore in settings.

    Have used Windows all my life and never had any issues, so I hope this doesn't become a disappointment.

    Also, wanted to point out that reinstalling windows 11 while keeping files was the first thing I did to solve this and it does not work. I have followed the other solutions posted here with no luck. This is also not an user-related problem. I created a new a user in my machine and the same issue arises.

    New information.

    I found our issue on the feedback hub. One person pointed out that the problem is that the Instant Hotspot feature is enabled in the Phone Link app. I decided to test this theory.

    I turned off Instant Hotspot in the Phone Link app, and also turned off this feature on the phone (Samsung S10e, Link to Windows) and rebooted the computer. After that, I've been testing for about 2 hours, at least 20 times I went to sleep - the applications are not crashed! Everything works fine! However, I don't know what will happen tomorrow. I also tried to turn on Instant Hotspot (I set it up and made sure that the smartphone appeared in the Wi-Fi section of Windows 11). Even without a reboot, the apps broke the first time I put sleep mode on. Obviously there is an impact. But I will continue to test this problem
