Starting today an invisible window named DesktopWindowXamlSource appears on my Win 10 Pro taskbar. Closing this window shuts down OneDrive so it has something to do with OneDrive. All updates are installed on this PC. How do I get rid of this annoying icon on the taskbar. Thanks.

    This worked for me.

    1. Right click blank area of Desktop
    2. Select Display Settings
    3. click MultiTasking
    4. Set Virtual Desktops "On the taskbar, show windows that are open on" **** to Only the desktop I'm using

You fixed the problem. Thank you!

Closing the window(s) closes the associated OneDrive instances. Not an acceptable workaround for those of us that use OneDrive.

Or you can just put a piece of tape on your display. That hides it as well. You could also just switch to Linux. Ubuntu 22.04 gets updates until 2027, and has the additional feature of not having some pinhead tell me to take HOURS doing an in-place upgrade that also doesn't MITIGATE THE MICROSOFT BUG. Also, I am running the second to last version of MacOS on a 17 year old MacBook Pro, but I have lost faith in Apple providing pro level hardware to anyone without $5K laying around (as Apple inexorably heads toward making iPhones with lids as opposed to the affordable pro hardware I used forever.)

This issue also appeared for me yesterday, un- and reinstalling OneDrive didn't help. I got this on my laptop (Windows 10, Build 19044.2364) at work, not on a personal computer.

Updates are managed by my organization and the last updates have been installed on January 5th, but I got this just starting yesterday, so I don't think it's caused by any updates.

Can't try out stuff to see if it gets fixed, cause I don't have admin permissions. I need a definite fix for this to have it done.
