I've been using the "Phone Link" app on my computer and mobile and this has let me mirror my phone on my computer and enabled me to unlock the phone screen from my PC. However I'm no longer able to unlock from the PC and it is showing the following message: "Unlock on your phone. To keep your credential private and secure, we need you to unlock your phone to continue." Can anyone tell me how to resolve this issue?

Issue is with "Phone Link" the Windows store app, not "Link to Windows" for android. I was able to unlock using the PC once I downgraded to version 1.22102.202.0, file name "phone-link-1-22102-202-0.appxbundle" which can be downloaded from uptodown, this one is from late November (a month ago). I can unlock the phone from PC like normal.
Another thing, if you are sick of granting the permission to cast the screen to PC every now and then, which will make the whole "Phone Link" useless to me since sometimes the phone is not within arm reach or it is charging in different room. I used this ADB command to grant permission and stop the annoying dialog asking for permission. (Note, Google removed the option to permanently remember to trust the computer for casting the screen, I believe it started after Android 10 or 11). Anyway, the ADB command is:
adb shell appops set com.microsoft.appmanager PROJECT_MEDIA allow
Thank you for sharing this ADB command. Apologies do we just enter it in command prompt?
You need to turn off automatic updates on your phone. This problem is caused by the update from Google Store. My phone automatically downloaded update from Google Play and I could not unlock the phone again. I had to turn off auto updates, uninstall app and set it all up again. Phonelink update from Samsung Galaxy Store does not cause this problem.
thank you!
