I've been using the "Phone Link" app on my computer and mobile and this has let me mirror my phone on my computer and enabled me to unlock the phone screen from my PC. However I'm no longer able to unlock from the PC and it is showing the following message: "Unlock on your phone. To keep your credential private and secure, we need you to unlock your phone to continue." Can anyone tell me how to resolve this issue?

after i lock my phone, the windows phone link goes black and it says "unlock on your device to keep your credentials private and secure" kinda defeats the whole point of having my phone mirrored on pc if i need to keep the phone unlocked
Don't bother Microsoft don't give a dam about customers they don't care about usage or feedback which they use to see how much rubbish they can get away with this thread totally shows how rubbish Microsoft customer support or care is a monolithic company with support staff that are reluctant to think or help there is no more damming evidence of this and their total disregard of customers than this thread not one Microsoft answer worth spitting at a disgusting and disgraceful showing
The function was removed because MS insists on supporting iphones for no particular reason and the app would've been kicked off the Apple store if it supported remote unlock. This function is gone for good and will never return until maybe MS revives the Windows phone (lol, imagine that)..
On Android there's a relatively simple one-click workaround to remotely unlock the phone via ADB (less simple without a USB connection but still possible). You can find it some posts above.

If your "simple one-click workaround to remotely unlock the phone via ADB" is this command:
./adb shell appops set com.microsoft.appmanager PROJECT_MEDIA allow
Sorry. Doesn't fix the problem. With Phone Link versions newer than 1.22102-202-0, you'll still need to manually unlock your phone before you can access a phone-app from Phone Link on the PC.
That's not it.. that command is required if you want any remote control of the phone at all without a confirmation dialog all the time (applies to all remote software like Anydesk or Rustdesk).
