New issue with unlocking my Samsung phone via phone link app on PC

I've been using the "Phone Link" app on my computer and mobile and this has let me mirror my phone on my computer and enabled me to unlock the phone screen from my PC. However I'm no longer able to unlock from the PC and it is showing the following message: "Unlock on your phone. To keep your credential private and secure, we need you to unlock your phone to continue." Can anyone tell me how to resolve this issue?

    Hi Steve,

Seems restarting my pc the next morning updated Phone link automatically.

I had to reinstall the older version again.

Its quick but wonder if there is some way to stop it from automatically updating?

    Thank you

i'm grateful for all those who've contributed to documenting this issue in search of answers.

    recapping,

samsung s22 is using 'link to phone' 1.23012.43.0 on OneUI v5.1 on android v13.

    windows11 'Phone Link' is v 1.22102.202.0

if phone is configured for 'screen lock type' swipe, i see nothing on windows phone screen display other than the black display that won't show me the pattern to swipe and unlock.

as others have noted (TYVM), if i choose 'screen lock type' PIN, i see nothing on windows phone screen display other than the black display, BUT i can BLINDLY enter the PIN to unlock the phone and get use of the remote phone display.

of course, the PIN is far more cumbersome and less efficient than the swipe for unlocking, particularly when the fingerprint reader's this unreliable (bad on you, samsung), so i'd much prefer a swipe, if someone could figure out how to make that work.

    thanks again for trying...
