Displays mix of number and contact names. Used to display Names only. It's free, so I guess I get what I pay for?

I'm using Google messages on my Android phone, and use the Phone Link program on three different Windows computers. On two of the computers, it still works fine, displaying the names of my contacts. On the third (and newest of the three) it worked fine up until about the beginning of April, 2024. Disconnecting and reconnecting the phone to this computer didn't change anything. Deleting the number and copying it back in does work, but I have dozens and dozens of contacts! There must be a more global way of doing this? Any ideas, anyone?

Darn, the first answer didn't work for me. I even forced the app to stop and tried it all again. The outlook, reformat contacts didn't work either because my stupid contact app keeps putting the parenthesis back in??? I was able to fix it by using a different contact app.

Today, after months of working fine, it's doing it again... Thanks MS. Must have been after the most recent update?

I'm glad you figured out a solution for your phone. My problem is different because I ONLY use Outlook contacts on my phone. I never ever enter a contact directly into my phone screen. I always enter people into Outlook from my laptop and let the phone sync with Outlook. That way I only have to maintain contacts in one place and that's Outlook. I don't have Gmail contacts either. The problem has to be something that Microsoft is doing on the servers because it gets fixed as soon as we start complaining. Just like last spring when people were sending emails and it showed in our Sent Folder but the recipient wasn't receiving the emails. After people complained to Microsoft, the problem got fixed.
