I agree, no problems until Microsoft did an update. The Windows update on Sept 27 changed my desktop icons from solid to shadowed and it hurts my eyes. Apparently they are aware of the problem. A few other apps stopped working correctly as well.. Sticky Notes, for one. I also use Microsoft Outlook for my Contacts on my laptop and phone and here have been no changes there so it has to be the Phone Link app on either the phone or the laptop. I'm getting a new phone tomorrow (Samsung A14 5G) so I'll be starting over anyway. That should be fun.
Phone Link not showing Contact Names....again
Displays mix of number and contact names. Used to display Names only. It's free, so I guess I get what I pay for?

2023-09-29T13:35:13+00:00 It is hard to understand. I'll say that I haven't had any troubles for quite a while, despite having numerous updates etc. After all this time, it seems that some level of device driver or OS config must be getting in the way of operation.
PhoneLink doesn't update with MS Update; it does it itself. Right now the app is at Phone Link 1.23082.131.0. I use a Surface Laptop 3 Model 1872 i7, running Windows 10 Pro, build 19045.3516, Intel Wireless Bluetooth version 22.250.0.2. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S10 running Android 12, security patch March 1 2023. And Phone Link syncs with my contact list in Outlook, in Microsoft 365 at the most recent update level

2023-09-29T04:58:10+00:00 It's so annoying, right? I was using the app a couple of days ago - it was working fine! Displaying my contacts etc., then the next session probably after an update or something, and it's broken again... is your phone connected by Bluetooth to your laptop or by the mobile app?

2023-09-28T21:15:08+00:00 As of today, Sept 28, 2023, this problem is back... again. There was a Windows Update yesterday that also screwed up my laptop so I wonder if it also screwed up the Phone Link app. It's not my phone so it has to be the laptop and the Phone Link app. Come on Microsoft, how difficult can it be to keep it working correctly?

2023-09-19T18:37:52+00:00 Thanks for the suggestions but I literally don't use Outlook for anything - let alone my phone's contacts. So no sync issues there.
My phone is connected to my PC through the app, I don't use BT.
What I find most annoying, is that everything WAS working - absolutely fine, but now it's not.
There was a Phone Link update in the Store today but the issue still remains unfortunately.
