Please try using the “Show or Hide Updates” troubleshooter to hide the driver updates. Window Update won’t install hidden drivers or updates. Run the troubleshooter then please try hiding the Intel Corporation - SoftwareComponent update that will show in the list. You may try restarting your pc if it helps.

We have the same issue in our company. We recently bought several HP ZBook G9 and they all have this issue. We would prefer that we don't keep going through updates and show or hide them to solve something like this. Most of the laptops have the HP Support Assistant installed and there are no updates reported there - personally I did all the updates listed there and I can say that I am up to date. But windows update keeps finding "Intel Corporation - SoftwareComponent - 1.1122.713.2" every day as an update and keeps asking for a restart after installing it. More interesting is the fact that if I check the history the install from the previous day is reported as successful.

Hi Raju,

I've no "Intel Connectivity Performance Suite IHV Component (ICPS)" in software components in the device manager.

But I've multiple "Intel(R) XTU Component Device" manager (class: SoftwareComponent).

For now I used wushowhide to hide the update.
