My new crucial mx500 does not show on bios so I cant install windows, why?

Bought a new crucial mx500 sata ssd, for my asus x555ld, to make it a litle faster, but it does not show up on bios, it does show on list part, and if I boot from usb drive, I can see it as an option to install windows, but then it says it does not have a driver, any ideas?

    Hi Bruno,

    If you have CSM disabled permanently and Secure Boot temporarily disabled then that installation should proceed.

    At the very start of the Installation Process, press Shift + F10, or Shift + Fn + F10 to open Command Prompt

    Run this command and hit Enter:

    diskpart

    Run this command and hit Enter:

    list disk

    (Make note of the disk number you want to convert and enter it into the next command - replace X)

    Run this command and hit Enter:

    select disk X

    Run this command and hit Enter:

    clean

    Run this command and hit Enter:

    convert gpt

    Then close Command Prompt and restart the installation.

    Sometimes it shows like this, sometimes its the "non alocated" etc, or even makes the disk appear as something with 2Gb only, whenever i try MBR or GPT

    Hi Bruno,

    Can you now see the target drive at the start of the installation?

    What error(s) do you now see when you try to install Windows onto that drive?

    Disabled CSM, booted, but its the same, at the windows installation window, there is always some sort of error, used diskpart to make the ssd either MBR or GPT but both give me problems, still with issues

    Hi Bruno,

    Yes, when you create the USB with the Media Creation tool, please follow the steps above exactly, CSM must be disabled permanently for a UEFI setup.
